I’m going to be shooting an episode of Canada’s a Drag for CBC!!!

Screen Shot 2018-11-25 at 1.07.20 PM

I’ll be doing a 5 minute documentary on local St. John’s drag queen, Irma Gerd!! We will be shooting her performance on Dec. 14th at Treble Lounge around 8pm so if you want to come join the audience you are more than welcome! It’s going to be super fun! 🙂

This is the first time Canada’s a Drag has come to Newfoundland and it will be nationwide!!!! Also, the season starts airing in January 2019 so stay tuned as I will post info about the time/date this episode will be on air!

All things Fogtown and Poppy!!

These shoots are so much fun!! As a photographer, I love natural shots more than anything. Yes, this means I like candids but it also means that I don’t think things have to be “produced” and perfect all the time because that’s not real life. Brastraps, tape residue on buildings, hair blowing in the crazy Newfoundland wind it all works for these shoots because it’s more about the lifestyle and people in their own environment.

If you like what you see, pop in to Fogtown and pick up your Poppy or Fogtown clothing item today!

SALT X MIKEGOUGH

Here is a video I recently shot for The Shop SALT this past week! They did a collaboration  with local St. John’s, Newfoundland artist, Mike Gough to make wearable art (how cool?!). This was such a fun video for me to shoot and edit, everyone was so great to work with and I can’t wait to see how this clothing line does because it drops TODAY!!

Cinematography Masterclass with Maya Bankovic !

I had the pleasure of attending a masterclass with Maya Bankovic as part of the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival‘s Scene and Heard conference. It was great!! I got to use some really nice equipment and take time to work on lighting and camera movement. I loved learning from Maya, she’s a very talented & seasoned expert in film and I can’t wait to apply what I have learned from this class. <3. (Photos by Ashley Harding Photography).

The Nickel Film Festival’s School Tour

I recently went on a school tour sponsored by Reel Youth and The Nickel Independent Film Festival. We went to 4 different schools in central, western and norther Newfoundland to be film mentors for students making documentaries.

These films will be screened as part of the Nickel Film Festival in June so stay tuned for updates! I will be editing one (maybe two) depending on my schedule and if I can squeeze it in! Take a look at some of our behind-the-scenes photos. Some were taken by the students themselves!
