Tin Bird Productions is a video production business owned and operated by award-winning Director & Cinematographer, Lian Morrison in St. John’s Newfoundland. A graduate of Memorial University, Lian has a professional background in film including a filmmaking diploma from Prague Film School, with a specialization in Editing. Lian has worked on various series such as Rock Solid Builds, Republic of Doyle, Save My Pet as well as small doc-style videos for CBCNL. Lian also directed the first and only Newfoundland episode of Canadian Screen Awards winning digital series, Canada’s a Drag.

Since 2020 Lian has been working on scripted television and feature films as a DIT in the camera department.  Some of her recent work includes Son of a Critch, Astrid & Lily Save the World and Surreal Estate.  She has also been a volunteer as a board member for The Nickel Independent Film Festival since 2018 and has helped out with many of the Nickel’s endeavours including filmmaking and animation workshops throughout the province.

Tin Bird Productions has been making creative digital content for many brands and organizations all across Newfoundland including social media content, real estate ads, commercials, training videos and marketing material since 2014. In addition, we also specialize in documentary filmmaking which includes films Flight of the Fisherman (2016), Behind Banana Vacuum (2019) and Set in Motion (2021).
